What Information Do I Need to Provide When Making a Booking Request?

When you submit a Booking Request on Haveaspot, you are asking a Venue to confirm a reservation. Providing accurate and complete information is essential — both for the Venue to make an informed decision, and to protect your booking.

Your Booking Request should clearly describe:

  • The nature of your event — for example, a children’s party, fitness class, community meeting, or corporate workshop
  • The number of attendees you expect
  • Any specific requirements relevant to the space or the Venue’s listing
  • Any information requested by the Venue in their listing

You are required to provide true, accurate, and complete information in your Booking Request. Material misrepresentations — such as significantly understating the number of attendees or misrepresenting the type of event — can have serious consequences:

  • The Venue or Haveaspot may cancel your Booking without a refund
  • The Venue may terminate your event mid-hire and require you and your guests to leave the premises immediately, also without refund
  • Your account may be suspended or terminated

If you are making a booking on behalf of a business, company, charity, or other organisation, you must indicate this during the booking process and confirm you have authority to act on that entity’s behalf.

Once submitted, your Booking Request is reviewed by the Venue. You cannot change a Booking Request after submission — if you need to make a significant change, you may need to withdraw your request (if it has not yet been confirmed) and submit a new one.

If your event details change significantly after a Booking is confirmed, contact the Venue directly through the Platform as soon as possible.
