Can a Booker Reschedule a Booking?

Yes — Bookers can request to reschedule a confirmed booking rather than cancel it. This can be a good outcome for both parties, as it keeps the booking alive while accommodating a change in the Booker’s plans.

A Booker can request to reschedule their booking up to 14 days before the original event date. Once they submit a rescheduling request through the platform, the decision is yours: you can choose to approve or decline it.

There is no obligation to approve a rescheduling request — for example, if the requested new date is not available at your venue, you can decline. However, being accommodating where possible can help maintain a positive relationship with Bookers and avoid a cancellation.

If you approve the new date, the booking is updated to reflect the rescheduled event. The original payment and booking terms continue to apply.

If you decline the rescheduling request, the original booking remains in place. The Booker then has the option to cancel if they no longer wish to proceed — in which case the standard Cancellation Policy applies based on how far away the original event date is.

What if a Booker asks to reschedule with less than 14 days to go?

Section titled “What if a Booker asks to reschedule with less than 14 days to go?”

Rescheduling requests must be submitted more than 14 days before the event. If a Booker contacts you about rescheduling within the 14-day window, you are not required to accommodate this under the platform’s terms. Any agreement you reach in this situation is at your own discretion and does not alter the standard cancellation and refund rules.

The House Rules that were in place at the time of the original booking confirmation continue to apply to a rescheduled booking. See Do My House Rules Apply to Existing Bookings If I Update Them?.
