What Counts as Damage and What Happens If I Cause It?
You are required to leave the Listed Premises in substantially the same condition as you found it. You are liable for any damage caused beyond normal wear and tear.
What Is Normal Wear and Tear?
Section titled “What Is Normal Wear and Tear?”Normal wear and tear refers to the minor, expected deterioration that happens through ordinary use — for example:
- Small scuffs on walls from chairs or tables
- Minor carpet wear in high-traffic areas
- Light surface marks on furniture
These would not typically be considered damage you are liable for.

If Damage Occurs
Section titled “If Damage Occurs”If damage happens during your Booking period:
- Report it to the Venue immediately — do not wait until after you have left
- Document the damage where possible (photographs are helpful)

Disputes Over Damage
Section titled “Disputes Over Damage”If a Venue raises a claim for damage that you dispute, try to resolve it directly with them first.
