What Should I Do If a Team Member Leaves?

When a Team Member leaves your organisation — whether they resign, are dismissed, or simply no longer need access — you must revoke their access to your Haveaspot account immediately. This is your responsibility as the account holder.

Until access is revoked, a former team member can still log in to your account and take actions on your behalf. This includes:

Any actions they take — even after leaving — are your liability. Do not delay.

You can remove a Team Member’s access from your account settings. Navigate to your Team Members section, find the relevant person, and remove them. Once removed, they will no longer be able to log in to your account.

If you are unable to remove a Team Member yourself (for example, if the departing person was the sole Owner and you need access transferred), contact Haveaspot support at support@haveaspot.com as a matter of urgency.

When you remove a Team Member, their access to your venue account is revoked. However, their Haveaspot login credentials are their own — they may still have a personal account if they are also a Booker on the platform. Revoking their team access does not delete their personal account.

  • Review your Team Member list regularly — not just when someone leaves
  • Remove access on the day someone leaves, not days or weeks later
  • If someone’s role changes and they no longer need certain permissions, adjust their role accordingly (see What Permissions Do Different Team Member Roles Have?)
  • Make sure at least one other person with the Owner role has full access before removing an existing Owner
