Setting Up Your Stripe Account

All payments on Haveaspot are processed through Stripe, a leading payment processor used by businesses worldwide. To receive payouts for your bookings, you need a Stripe Connect Account linked to your Haveaspot profile — and the good news is that setting one up is part of the Haveaspot onboarding process. You will be guided through it step by step when you register your Spot.

Why Stripe?

Haveaspot does not hold or manage funds on your behalf. Instead, Stripe processes payments from Bookers and pays out your Hire Cost directly to your bank account. This keeps your money secure and separate from Haveaspot’s own finances.

Setting up your Stripe Connect Account

When you reach the payments step during your Haveaspot onboarding, you will be prompted to connect with Stripe. You can also access this from your account settings at any time.

You will be directed to Stripe’s own platform, where you will need to:

1. Create or log in to a Stripe account — if you already have a Stripe account for another purpose, you may be able to use that, or you can create a new one

2. Verify your identity — Stripe carries out a Know Your Customer (KYC) check, which is a legal requirement for businesses that process payments. You will typically need to provide:

   • Your full name and date of birth
   • Your business name and address
   • A valid form of identification
   • Your bank account details for payouts

3. Complete Stripe’s onboarding — once your information is submitted, Stripe will review it. In most cases this is straightforward, but Stripe may request additional documents.

Important things to know

• The KYC verification is controlled entirely by Stripe, not Haveaspot. If Stripe requests additional information or delays your verification, you will need to contact Stripe directly.
• You must remain compliant with Stripe’s requirements at all times. If Stripe suspends or closes your account, Haveaspot may also suspend your listing.
• Haveaspot has no access to your Stripe login credentials or bank account details.

Once your account is connected

Once verified, your Stripe account will be ready to receive payouts. Your first payout typically arrives around 7 days after a booking payment is made, with subsequent payouts arriving within 2–7 days. These timings are set by Stripe and may vary. See When and How Will I Get Paid? for more detail.
