What Are My Responsibilities as a Booker?
When you make a booking through Haveaspot, you take on a number of important responsibilities — both to the Venue and to the community space you are hiring. Here is an overview of what is expected of you.
Use the Space Lawfully
Section titled “Use the Space Lawfully”You must use the Listed Premises in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and local ordinances. This includes but is not limited to health and safety requirements, licensing laws, and any local restrictions that may apply to your type of event.
Follow the House Rules and Venue Terms
Section titled “Follow the House Rules and Venue Terms”You must review and abide by the Venue’s House Rules and any specific Venue terms and conditions that were in effect at the time your Booking was confirmed. These are accessible at any time via the My Bookings section of your account. See What Are House Rules? for more detail.
Use the Space for Its Stated Purpose
Section titled “Use the Space for Its Stated Purpose”You must use the Listed Premises only for the purpose described in your Booking Request. Any use that is illegal, hazardous, offensive, or substantially different from what you stated when booking is not permitted.
Be Responsible for Your Guests
Section titled “Be Responsible for Your Guests”You are responsible for the conduct of all guests, attendees, and other individuals you invite to or allow into the space during your Booking. Any breach of the rules or damage caused by your guests is your responsibility.
Leave the Space in Good Condition
Section titled “Leave the Space in Good Condition”You must leave the Listed Premises in substantially the same condition as you found it (reasonable wear and tear excepted). You are liable for any damage caused beyond normal use.
Communicate Respectfully
Section titled “Communicate Respectfully”You must use the Platform’s communication tools only for legitimate, booking-related purposes. Spam, abusive messages, harassing or offensive communications, and any attempt to share unnecessary personal information or circumvent the Platform are all prohibited.
Do Not Arrange Bookings Off-Platform
Section titled “Do Not Arrange Bookings Off-Platform”You must not contact Venues you discovered through Haveaspot to arrange bookings or payments outside the Platform. See Can I Book Directly With a Venue? for more detail.
Provide Accurate Information
Section titled “Provide Accurate Information”You must provide honest and accurate information throughout the booking process — from your Booking Request through to how you use the space on the day. Misrepresentations can result in your Booking being cancelled or your event being terminated without a refund.
