How Do I Raise a Complaint or Dispute with Haveaspot?
If you have a complaint or dispute with Haveaspot — for example, about a payout, a decision made about your account, or how a situation was handled — there is a clear process to follow. The process is designed to resolve issues fairly and as quickly as possible.
Step 1 — Contact Haveaspot support
Section titled “Step 1 — Contact Haveaspot support”The first step is always to raise the issue directly with Haveaspot by emailing:
In your message, include:
- A clear description of the issue
- Any relevant booking references or account details
- What outcome you are seeking
Most issues can be resolved at this stage. Haveaspot aims to respond to support queries promptly and will work with you to understand the situation.
Step 2 — Good faith negotiation
Section titled “Step 2 — Good faith negotiation”If your complaint is not resolved through the initial support contact, both parties are expected to enter a period of good faith negotiation lasting up to 21 days. During this time, you and Haveaspot will try to reach a mutually acceptable resolution through discussion and correspondence.
Keep a record of all communications during this process.
Step 3 — Mediation
Section titled “Step 3 — Mediation”If good faith negotiation does not resolve the dispute within 21 days, either party can refer the matter to mediation. Mediation involves an independent third party helping both sides reach a resolution, without going to court.
Mediation is typically quicker and less expensive than legal proceedings and should be attempted before escalating to the courts.
Step 4 — Courts of England and Wales
Section titled “Step 4 — Courts of England and Wales”If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute may be referred to the courts of England and Wales, which have jurisdiction over matters arising under the Venue Service Agreement.
A note on timing
Section titled “A note on timing”Do not delay in raising a complaint. Acting promptly gives the best chance of a resolution, and delay can sometimes affect your position — particularly in relation to payment disputes or time-sensitive issues.
