What Refund Will I Receive If I Cancel?

If you cancel a confirmed Booking after the 48-hour grace period has expired (or if the grace period does not apply), your refund is determined by how much notice you give before the scheduled start time of your event.

If you cancel more than 14 days before the scheduled start time:

  • Hire Cost: 100% refund
  • Haveaspot Booking Fee: Refunded minus the Cancellation Administration Fee (3% of the Total Fee + £0.30)

If you cancel between 7 and 14 days (inclusive) before the scheduled start time:

  • Hire Cost: 50% refund
  • Haveaspot Booking Fee: 100% non-refundable

If you cancel less than 7 days before the scheduled start time:

  • Hire Cost: No refund (0%)
  • Haveaspot Booking Fee: 100% non-refundable

  • The notice period is measured from the time you cancel to the scheduled start time of the event — not the date of the Booking or the date of confirmation
  • Refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Stripe; processing times vary by bank
  • In some cases, a Venue may choose to offer you a higher refund at their own discretion — this is never a guaranteed right. See Can a Venue Offer Me a Better Refund?

If your Booking was confirmed within the last 48 hours and the event is more than 14 days away, a more favourable grace period may apply. See What Is the 48-Hour Grace Period?.
