What Are My Responsibilities for Maintaining My Spot?
As a Venue on Haveaspot, you are responsible for ensuring that your space is safe, accurately described, and fit for the bookings you accept. These responsibilities sit entirely with you — Haveaspot does not inspect or audit listed venues.
Keeping your space safe
Section titled “Keeping your space safe”You must ensure your premises are safe for Bookers and their guests at all times during bookings. This includes:
- Maintaining the structural integrity and cleanliness of the space
- Ensuring all equipment, furniture, and facilities you provide are in safe working order
- Addressing any hazards promptly — particularly before a booking takes place
- Complying with all applicable health and safety legislation, fire safety regulations, and building codes
If your space becomes unsafe or unavailable due to a maintenance issue, you should not allow bookings to proceed. If a confirmed booking is affected, contact Haveaspot at support@haveaspot.com as soon as possible.
Keeping your listing accurate
Section titled “Keeping your listing accurate”Your listing must accurately reflect your space at all times. If something changes — the layout, available facilities, capacity, or access arrangements — you must update your listing promptly.
Inaccurate listings lead to disappointed Bookers, disputes, and negative reviews. In serious cases, a misleading listing could result in action against your account.
Insurance
Section titled “Insurance”You must maintain adequate public liability insurance throughout your time on the platform. This is not something Haveaspot arranges — it is your independent responsibility. See What Insurance Do I Need to List on Haveaspot?.
Surveillance equipment
Section titled “Surveillance equipment”If you have security cameras, they must be disclosed in your listing. Cameras are never permitted in bathrooms or changing areas. See Do I Need to Disclose Security Cameras at My Venue?.
Your ongoing responsibilities
Section titled “Your ongoing responsibilities”In summary, as a Venue you are expected to:
- Keep the space clean, safe, and operational
- Update your listing whenever details change
- Respond promptly to Booker enquiries about the space
- Honour confirmed bookings where your space is in a suitable condition to do so
