What Does the Total Fee Include?
When you make a booking on Haveaspot, the Total Fee is the full amount you pay. It is made up of three components.
The Three Components
Section titled “The Three Components”1. The Hire Cost
Section titled “1. The Hire Cost”This is the fee set by the Venue for the use of their space for your chosen time and date. Venues set their own rates. If the Venue is VAT registered, their Hire Cost will already include VAT.
2. The Haveaspot Booking Fee
Section titled “2. The Haveaspot Booking Fee”This is the fee charged by Haveaspot for providing the Platform and facilitating your Booking. It is calculated at 15% of the Hire Cost. The Booking Fee includes VAT where this is required under UK law.
3. VAT on the Haveaspot Booking Fee
Section titled “3. VAT on the Haveaspot Booking Fee”VAT applicable to the Haveaspot Booking Fee is included within the Booking Fee figure shown at checkout.
When Is the Total Fee Displayed?
Section titled “When Is the Total Fee Displayed?”The Total Fee — broken down by its components — is shown clearly before you submit your Booking Request. By submitting your request, you agree to pay the Total Fee displayed at that time.
Who Receives What?
Section titled “Who Receives What?”- The Hire Cost goes directly to the Venue (processed via Stripe)
- The Haveaspot Booking Fee goes to Haveaspot for providing the Platform
Haveaspot does not take any commission from the Venue’s Hire Cost.
Is the Booking Fee Refundable?
Section titled “Is the Booking Fee Refundable?”This depends on the circumstances:
- If the Venue declines or does not respond to your request, no charge is made and the pre-authorisation hold is released
- If you cancel within the 48-hour grace period, the Booking Fee is refunded minus a small Cancellation Administration Fee
- If you cancel outside the grace period, the Booking Fee is non-refundable in most cases
